but not regarding the subject matter which got you suspended, ended your relationship with your "father figure" trainer, and almost effectively ended your profession, PUBLICLY, on HBO.
That has nothing to do with being Mexican. That is either immature, dumb, or both.
And to go along with it is either immature, dumb, or both, also.
Wrong! Being a Mexican American all my life thats exactly how Mexicans deal with touchy subjects. We joke about it which helps us deal with uncomfortable situations and it's not like Tony hasn't joked about it before either. I say if it helps him and his team stay and good spirits and helps Tony put things behind him them so what? Seriously I wish more pro athletes could deal with their mistakes like this more often.

That's what some people do when they are over something. Some people can like it or not, I really didn't care for it.
In the boxing world it appears it is. Very low standards.
How about Tiger Woods making fun of the accusations laughing at the divorce papers while looking at an escorts site?
Maybe one of the reasons boxing is not what it was before is our low standards.
And if he did so what? Im not one of these self important sports fanatics that feels that athletes have to act a certin way to apease fans just because they spend a couple bucks. Seriously get over yourself!
Margo once said that Javier Capetillo was like a father to him.
Would you joke about the subject matter which ended your relationship with your father. Publicly? On television?
I think not.
If it made me laugh then sure, would probably make me look better on the incident if we made fun of it rather then treat it like it's the saddest thing in the world. It would help to move on from the situation.
But then again not everyone has a sense of humour.
... but after the Concrete skit he and Margarito did, I'm beginning to question his maturity. He's not a child, or a teen, you know?
It's ok to be nice with your fighters and have a relaxed training atmosphere and JOKE! and have a good time, it is another thing to stoop to their level of immaturity. He went all "Brandon Ríos".
We need more Duvas, Stewards, Cus D'Amato, I mean, serious people.
It's ok for young fighters to be ******. They shouldn't, but it's natural.
But grown up men acting childishly??!? Like teens??!?! WTF is this, male Sex and The City where you just don't want to grow up and pretend to be an adolescent forever? PLEEEEAAAASE.
Cotto's uncle and ex-trainer also acted childish and immature when he confronted Cotto. As I remember it he threw a brick or something of the sort, and there was a big fight before the breakup.
Yet I did'nt read anything about the subject matter back then, you are a hypocrite. Act like a man, if you don't like the trainer because he is training cheato just say so, and don't try to justify yourself with meaningless bs.
