Cheers for the link. Was just rewatching a bunch of old Benn fights lately, and he they reminded me why I got into boxing to being with. Benn was one of the first fighters I saw live on national TV, along with Eubank and Bruno back in the day. Good times.

Im with u on that one man, woulda been fun while it lasted tho!I believe that Benn would have knocked FRoch out senseless.
Benn was faster, more explosive, more powerful, more accurate, he had a better defense.
He was just a better fighter.
We all know Froch likes to trade and that his armor is like swiss cheese, and it would have played a whole lot more in Benn's favour than in his own.
Other than Dempsey and Tyson i think its a struggle to find a more VICIOUS fighter than The Dark DestroyerComment

I live 3 miles from Ilford and 2 miles from Dalston where Michael Watson trained
Nigel is one of my favs of all time.
The actual chracters of the late 80's and early 90's fighters were the ebst.
I mean Benn, Eubank, Mcclellen, Jones Jnr, Toney, Hopkins, Steve Collins.
I didn;t really see much of Nunn and Mccalum, but I suspect they are chracters too.Comment

QUite possible. But im sure if you asked Froch he would say he would have destroyed Benn.I believe that Benn would have knocked FRoch out senseless.

yeah, but Froch is all mouth and doesn't deliver in the ring
Taylor outclassed him before he got ko'ed
Dirrell gave him a boxing lesson and got robbed
then Kessler beat him by way of a UD
Froch doesn't have much credibility
if he loses to AA, his career will fall apartComment

thanks for this man. Here is a very interesting and insightful documentary-like video on the Dark destroyer, Nigel Benn's chilhood. I went through some pages on this forum and it doesn't appear it has been posted yet. First part posted here.
We can see how Benn's tough childhood led to developp him as one of the most ferocious fighter ever.
