good rubber soled shoes can really hold onto the canvas and enable you to torque more into your punches. Leather soled shoes slip a bit but are great for movement

I see. That explains why hockey players suck.

      It probably does.

The grip of the shoe. The grippier the shoe is, I'd assume you can dig and plant more which ultimately means more power

          The grip.

There's little grip when skating. You see this is obvious and the TS is obviously only trying to sell his shoes. It's a commercial my friend.

I assume Battling is talking about when they punch each other.

Anyway I personally think grip is important in all sports. When I play Football (World football) I find that in the rain, power is harder to get into a shot.

As with running, cycling and motorcycling, I need good grip to really be at my best, but this is like 10% difference.

In a ring, as a professional, I think that even 1% is a lot.

but for hard slap shots don't you think they invoke some type of torque correct? At some point they have to use the skate to brace theirselves in order to get proper torque

and to be honest given his entire three post history and no links to said good he was selling I thought it was an honest question

I was thinking of hockey-fights. Perhaps I should have made that clear.

would you be able to box barefoot if you chose to?

                  (in a professional, sanctioned fight)

                      not significantly

the shoes a fighter wears or if he goes barefoot in the ring isn't gonna determine wether he wins or loses.
