Nothing wrong with a bit of self promotion, that's a massive part of the boxing game. However, he should get by Maidana first.
its one thing to promote a fight, but to hype yourself up by talking shit about fighters u refuse to fight is another thing. khan is being arrogant and dissrespectful and hes just being a attention whore trying to get his name in the papers, he wont ever fight the guys hes talking **** about. like haye, thats just being an asshole and a disgrace to the sport.

khan will be a laughing stock cuz he comletely lost touch with reality, once reality comes crashing down alot of ppl will enjoy that. personally im not the guy to gloat, ill just be happy i wont have to listen to his punk ass no more.

Mayweather is generally regarded as an ATG, who is still in his prime. He said he thinks he can beat Mayweather.

It would be fair enough if he had signed to fight Mayweather and said he thought he could win. All fighters need to have confidence that they can win their upcoming fight. But he hasn't yet beaten anyone who is considered a serious threat to him, he is looking past his current opponent, and Mayweather hasn't even expressed any interest in fighting him, which makes it just sound like a kid boasting in the playground about how great he is.

That said, I like Khan, and respect him as a fighter. But he does have a habit of putting his foot in his mouth and saying the ******est things.

And because of the things he has said, he would be a laughing stock if he gets knocked out by Maidana. But I'm not one of those hoping that will happen. I just want to see a good fight, and may the best man win. I would be glad if Khan were to win in style. But I would be even more glad if he got some control over the rubbish that comes out of his mouth at times.

Pacquiao has also had two brutal KO losses - do you think he should have retired? If he gets knocked out, he shouldn't retire but he should learn some humility.

Yes it did make him a bit of a laughing stock, but not nearly as much, because he wasn't overlooking Katsidis, and he only called out Khan because they're both British, and he wanted a domestic showdown (ditto Murray) - not because he was claiming to be on Mayweather's level or anything like it; and he hasn't been hyped anywhere near as much as Khan has. Almost no one outside the UK had heard of Mitchell before the fight, so it didn't cause much reaction. Plus Katsidis was the favourite to win, so it came as no surprise, although the ease with which he won did come as a surprise.

Also, Mitchell didn't really talk mad shit about Malignaggi at all, he just said that he has no power, which is true, and that he was fighting a tougher opponent than Malignaggi, in Katsidis, which most people agreed with him on. He was just criticising Khan for ducking his mandatory, as were most boxing fans at the time.

If he gets knocked out vs Maidana Khan gets torn to shreds on boths sides of the Atlantic.

                Thats boxing.

                Khan by stoppage.

I'd have a good laugh at his expense if he lost to Maidana. Unfortunately, the likely scenario is that I'll have to hear more of his bull**** once he knocks Maidana's ass out.
