If anything, right now he is underrated compared to the other two. Still, the other guys, although younger, have had much more pro experience. We have to see Rigo step it up damn quick because he don't have much time. They need to get him a couple of fights in quick succession with some top guys, then get a title, defend a couple of times and then start in on the big boys and big fights.
It's a great division with a big future and he needs to get up there to be a part of that future for as long as possible.Comment

Gamboa is overrated at this point, but Rigondeaux isn't. The only way I see him getting beaten is by someone simply outworking him. I don't think Gamboa or Lopez could beat him though, even now.

comments like this are the reason I say he is overrated (on NSB).
Lopez wont have to outwork him and neither does Donaire. To say that (only way he will lose is by getting outwork) is to imply he can't be outboxed....which is far from the truth.
No disrespect but I think a lot of people simply don't follow him...just hear about the hype and his amatuer career.....and turn around and make it seem like he is some sort of unbeatable machine (in an attempt to sound cool/knowledgable on NSB).Comment

Really ? Overrated ? Listen i've been following Rigondeaux religiously since 1999 in Cuba, ain't nothing overrated about him, and the world is yet to see the best of him, so being 'underrated" is more of an accurate statement than saying his overrated at this pointLast edited by SonOfCuba; 10-29-2010, 10:19 PM.Comment

Again I think it boils down to so many people on here (NSB) try to come of more knowledgable than they really are. They hear about his amatuer career, watch one or two youtube fights......then make ridiculous claims such he will be an ATG/#1 P4P...or whatever.
Now if you have been a fan since 99....then cool. But again there are too many posers who don't know **** about him, and just jock his amatuer career and make bull**** claims to sound cool or come of as some boxing insider.Comment
