I think you're missing on big thing here. That fight was about forty years ago. This is now. Margarito's last fight, he has not handled speed well at all and has looked like ****. He may have been able to handle speed well in the past, but we're not in the past anymore.

Garcia wasn't speedy though so you can't judge by that fight.

i stand by my statement. margarito WAS NOT weight drained. he didn't have to lose 30 pounds. thats A ridiculous excuse. he was in terrific shape but just got knocked out by the better man.....

Good Thread, it is going to be a great fight. People who think that Pac is going to destroy Marg are crazy. Pac might win the fight, but its going to take a tremendous effort. I can see it going either way, and if I bet it will be on Tony (not betting 600 to win 100 on Pac to risky, I'd rather take the chance Tony wins and get paid big). People who say Tony is at a disadvantage because of the catchweight please STOP. Tony would have gladly gone to 147 to face Pac, so the extra 3-4 lbs is actually in Tony's favor. One more thing people who are bit**ing about the title that is on the line shut the heck up. No one except haters and idiots even cares about the multiple alphabet belts out there. Real boxing fans are about the fights not the belts.

No he did not fight him like he fought Lujan. Not a chance. I believe he threw over 100 punches in each of the last three rounds of the Lujan bout (before the stoppage). He was ridiculous that night. That was nothing like the Garcia bout.
