For people who think Margarito can't handle speed

Watch the Sergio Martinez, Margarito fight, where Margarito TKO's him in the 7th round.

I'm tired of all the people saying margarito is a tall punching bag, you guys really don't know what you're talking about. Margarito is a master at what he does and he knows how to cut speed, he knows how to corner speed, and he IS gonna put pressure on Pacquiao.

Margarito is a ****ing monster, any real boxing fan knows this.

I'm not changing my bet to Margarito, because I think Pacquiao is an even bigger monster, but stop with all the discrediting already. This is going to be one of the best fights we might ever see.

And regardless of who's hand is raised, these guys are in for a war. And they're both gonna leave their hearts, and their blood, and maybe some other things that they'll never get back, in that ring.

    Shane destroyed Tony.

That's how Manny likes his opponents.....destroyed.

That was a lot of years ago against a green Martinez.

It really doesn't apply to today, and speed gives everyone problems~

Sergio still needed a lot of work back then, but I see your point. Margarito was/is a really good fighter. If Margarito from the Cotto fight or before was fighting Pacquiao, I have no doubt he'd win. However, that Mosley beating, long layoff, performance he gave in his last fight, and catchweight gives me doubts on how competitive he'll be against the P4P best in the sport.

Margarito was weight drained for that fight- he had to lose 35 pounds in about a month.

Dwyer breaks it down better than I can why that's such a huge deal, and you can look up the results of other weight drained fighters in their fights for yourself.

That was a very good fight. Martinez boxed very well, but while for Martinez was fighting for his life, Margarito was having just another day at the office.

It is the sneaky shots to the midsection by Margarito that ultimately does his faster opponents in. They did for Martinez, Six Heads, Diaz, and Cotto.

They all started great but got worn down and ultimately paid a heavy price. Margarito looks in impeccable shape. Probably better than I have ever seen him and that says a lot especially since he normally is in good shape. If he can maintain good Mental health it is going to be a long night for the Pac Man.

Pacquiao is going to want to move all night long, in my opinion and play mind tricks on Marg. Roach is going to want to complain about the wraps to help further disturb Margs focus.

I think the win over a super timid clottey got to Roach's head. If there was one thing I noticed in that fight is that Pac had definitely met his size limit. Whenever clottey put his hands on Pac you could see them take effect but he was timid and didn't let his hands go. Pac hit him with plenty of relatively clean shots didn't put a dent on him. That's not to say that Pac doesn't possess power but I think at 147-154 with fighters of true size it might be found lacking.

I think the entire fight rides on the mental state of Marg and Pacquiao. Margarito seems genuinely disturbed by what happened with Mosley, and Pac seems to be lacking some focus. I think there is genuine concern in the Pac camp. In the Marg camp there is nothing to loose. If they fight like that.... I see an news headline grabbing upset.

They said it all along he came into camp at 186 and was having trouble in sparring.

That came out a long time ago.

He was fat and happy with his win and biggest payday over Cotto and paid the price.

That wasn't the normal Margarito in there, that's clear as day.

He definitely lost too much weight too fast.
