Big people cannot handle speed and doesn't matter how big you are, you are going down after flush punches round after rounds....

See all the opponents from ODLH, Diaz, Hatton, Cotto and Clottey. *It is obvious that Freddie Roach isn't so concerned about Pacquiao's strength because it is generally known that he has power.

But his angles to cut and his relentless style of punching from all angles WITH SPEED is what defines Pacquiao's greatness in the heavier weight divisions.
I disagree. Sure speed is important, and I have no gripes with Manny sparring a world class speedy JWW in Amir Khan. But Rodela? He has been Pac's punching dummy for several camps now. He is a below average LW, and a quick check on boxrec reveals he fought as low as featherweight just last year! Pac needs to get accustomed to pressure and the relentless style of a powerful opponent that can actually hurt him. Outspeeding a slow, feather fisted, subpar LW doesn't help anything.*

You spoke as if this is the only thing Pacquiao did to prepare for Margarito. He did spar with bigger guys but this particular PART of his training is for SPEED. What you have to realize are the plans that Freddie Roach and Ariza have for Pacquiao.

Sparring and attribute/skills building are all different components of a training. Pitting Pacquiao against bigger guys is only PART of that component and you are singling out this very issue.

Roach has said that Manny is 100% on the mits which means he has his strategy down. Now he wants to work on Manny's speed. I bet he works smaller guys for a few days then moves some big boys back in there.

speed helps him get off his combos and get out of there before that mean hook to the body gets there.

Exactly. People have to understand that training for a fight has many components to it, you have just mentioned the MITT WORKS and STRATEGY PART.

SPEED/TIMING is a very critical issue for Pacquiao. But for me, the biggest thing is his mental focus and emotion. If Pacquiao can zero in in his last part of training in FOCUSING.

Then he can win this fight. I am nervous because this could be a loss for him and while Margarito isn't chump change to begin with. Being heavier, bigger, taller and stronger.

hmmm Tysons sparring leading up the Douglas fight was poor. pacquiao seems like it is too.

I guess we are having an upset after all.

i think it ain't no bs that this is by far the worst training camp of pac's career.
Yeah he was getting his ass kicked by the bigger guys, you can see it in the first 24/7 episode. Freddy said Manny was trading with the bigger guys instead of sticking to the game plan because he wanted to show that he could trade with them. Manny needs to work on the game plan and that plan involves speed...

obviously this has been one of pac's worst training camps since he made it big.

I think pac is underestimating margarito big time. not smart.
