True, they are both highly skilled, but they are far too safety first for my tastes in the HW division.
i don't mind heavyweights boxing and moving.

i don't expect everyone to be a slugger.

i just want them to fight to the best of their capabilities.

byrd for example. everyone talks crap about byrd. i know foreman called him a "joke" or "disgrace".

but byrd fought the best he could. he's outweighed by 20 , 30 , 40 lbs.

    he's 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 in. shorter than his opponent.

on top of all of that , he had the power of what a middleweight?

that's fine. he had to fight the way he did.

but when you're taller , bigger , stronger , better , harder puncher than your opponent. go for the ****ing ko.

he had a bad cut. one of the worst cuts i've ever seen.

he didn't lose by some ****** judge's scorecard. he lost by tko.
I agree.Klitschko fans want to minimize Vitali's cuts and make people forget that it was a past prime Lewis that did it to him...the cut on the eyebrow was down to the bone.If that fight wasn't stopped,he would be missing half his face! I can't think of many worst cuts in boxing tbh.

I couldn't have said it better....
Watching Vitali go on the backfoot against Arreola was so embarrassing, that I was blushing. In fact, watching both him and his brother play it safe against guys who are half their size and flabby is a disgrace.

At least byrd can say he never ducked anyone and fought the best at HW , even though he was more like a a cruiserweight .

Byrd highest weight was 222 and that was in 1999

I believe the fight before his last he was essentially a super middleweight

                Vitali Klitschko vs Lennox Lewis

                THE TRUTH

Vitali took the fight on just 10 days notice.

Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards at the time of the controversial doctor stoppage. Lewis was badly hurt and was staggering around the ring like a drunk, he barely survived the 2nd round. Lewis was getting outboxed, outworked, outlanded and was hurt several times in the fight.

                punches landed

                Vitali 156

                Lewis 102

Lewis was exhausted, worn down and hurt from the accumulation of punches and was ready to get KTFO again, he collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was the fresher of the two, he was a man on a mission and would've KO'd Lewis for sure if the fight had continued.

All the fans at Staples Center cheered for Vitali and booed Lewis after the fight.

                Lewis promised Vitali a rematch.

Vitali destroyed Kirk Johnson in 2 rounds and called out Lewis again in the post fight interview. The scared Lewis retired shortly after that fight.

Lewis turned down 30 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew he would get destroyed by Vitali.

Vitali dominated Lewis and scared his bitch ass into retirement.

George Foreman: "Vitali was winning the fight. Lewis got lucky. There has to be a rematch!"

Jim Lampley: "A lucky escape for Lewis who was clearly losing the fight"

Even Emanuel Steward was upset and pissed off at Lewis for blatantly ducking a Vitali rematch.

Lewis is scared to death of Vitali.
I thought that this was the truth....
                According to boxrec....

Byrd didn't have a mark on his face.

It looked bad for the 6'6 Russian getting walked down and QUITTING against a former middleweight.

And saying Lennox beat him down is about as ****** as Steelhammers cut n paste rant.

If you look through Vitalis resume you'll see that hes not fought many actual ranked heavyweights. The heavyweight division is ****e but atleast Wlad has always fought ranked heavyweights unlike his brother.
