It's different because Vasquez Jr. has fighters who are more naturally his size to fight than guys like Arce where as Pascal is considered the #1 guy in the division Hopkins is fighting in. Not the same scenario at all.

I agree but we wont see that fight, any time soon. They actually pose a threat. I actually think Hitman Avalos KO's him. I seen him against wack ass Choko Hernanndez and wasn't impressed too much, he does have a good pop to his punches though, just like Jr he wont ever be like his dad. Chris Martin by UD over him.

WV2 just fought a hard fight. Having an easy payday against a known name is not uncommon. Who was Margarito's last opponant? A superstar? Chicanose greatest fighter of all time delahoho fought scrubs all the time, Steve Forbes etc.. And challeged smaller big name opposition. (Losing to all of them) And it was perfectly OK. But another fighter can't do the same??? Give the man a break, he's young and learning. He'll learn something from Jorge for sure. WV2 will win and get paid, and gain some knowledge at the same time!!!!!

So it's come to this, not just Vazquez, but almost all of the big names in boxing. We can only guess how good they are by how well they look beating over matched opposition. Top names refuse to fight each other and avoid any supprises by fighting smaller, older, or known fighters with flaws (Arce's legs are gone and he bleeds more than he sweats).
In his last fight Parra boxed circles around Arce, he had him surrounded. Arce won the fight (?), but he never caught or cornered or imposed his style on Parra. If I can see this, Vazquez jr. can see it too. If Arce hurts Jr. he won't be able to catch him and if Arce gets hurt, he won't be able to escape. Fish in a barrel.

Calzaghe, Pavlik, and De La Hoya were the only guys that had to move up in weight immediately for a fight with Hopkins. Calzaghe fought in a higher weight class than Hopkins for years so that too small **** goes out the window. Tito had some fights at 160 before the fight with B-Hop. And Pavlik had numerous fights above 160 during his career.
