Floyd made $30m+ according to them vs. Mosley...
These guys can make $20m working the heavy bag on PPV...they simply don't need each other.
If Floyd really needed the $40m, he would've accepted the cutoff date.
If Manny truly needed the $40m, he would've accepted random OST.
Neither conceded fully because they can make the same money over two fights vs. other fighters.
Manny/Margo....he can make $25m
Manny/JMM retirement bout, he can make $20m
that's $45m over two EASY opponents. (JMM has virtually no shot at a welterweight or catchweight)....NO hassle, no insults, no bull**** testing, none of that.
And at this point....I'm perfectly fine if they don't fight.Last edited by NesNY; 10-27-2010, 03:20 PM.

The sport itself needs this fight, but the fighters don't.

Edit: And Dan Rafael is an idiot. If Usain Bolt said he didn't want to be tested the week leading up to a race, what would you think? Sorry, but the testing demand was fair, even though it is not standard in boxing at this point. It's an internationally recognized program, and completely safe for athletes.

I'm still waiting for one good reason why Pac shouldn't agree to testing without cutoffs. So far I've heard the "his arm will be sore" excuse, which doesn't cut it.

We'll see.
There will NEVER be a blood test taken even 10-14 days before a fight. A nicked vein or any minor complication can cause a postponement or cancellation.
If Manny wanted...he could accept full OST....wait to see when's the last time they take blood....and if it's too close to the fight..he can complain of numbness and/or pain.
And what happens to the fight?......exactly. Fight is off. Bets off. Everything off.
