Actually it probably wont help any of their finances. Roy still thinks hes the number 1 draw in the world (Not that he ever was). So Roy will be like, hey Holyfield, you take the first 5 mil, and I get 70% of the rest. The fight will bring in 4 million and all will go to Holyfield. Holyfield will then be in the lockeroom after the fight and government agents will show up and take his check Joe Louis style, only winners in this situation will be Holyfields kids who might get a few meals out of it.

ive heard of jones doing that with the fight money before. Is that really true?

Roy's not sharp. Not at all. He is so apprehensive. His punches are not on point. He has hand speed, but not near the hand speed he had pre-2003. He has no legs. Without his hand speed and, more importantly, without his legs, he has no answers for the top fighters from LHW to HW. Call it what you want, but Roy can no longer compete at an elite level. Roy got me into boxing, but I recognize he's done.

This fight with Holyfield is sad. I'd still watch it, but I completely understand why most people would not.

As for Roy...he's sure not razor sharp, but can be pretty sharp, if he's comfy(?) in there. It still takes a decent athlete to toy with Lacy like he did. But sure, he does behave "strangely" at times... Sometimes looked odd during the Calzaghe fight, for example, in spots. Oh, and I think Roy still has quite good hand speed, and can COMPETE at the elite level. Did you miss that Hopkins fight? Competitive, I'd say. But yeah, it just has that something, to me. And at least this isn't a Holyfield of 10 years ago, as he's nearly 50(and looks great, mind you)! As long as neither gets seriously hurt(likely Roy, to be honest), I'm for it happening
