he didnt steal from charities, he started fake charities and took the money. in other words he didnt steal from any kids he stole from rich and mid class ppl trying to give money to kids.

even if he broke into a childrens hospital and jacked their medicine 12 years is still way to harsh. survival comes first, he probably has kids of his own that need that money. im not saying he shouldnt be punished but 12 years is absurd.
