The Houston Chronicle reports that former middleweight and light heavyweight champion Reggie "Sweet" Johnson was sentenced to twelve years in prison by a Houston court. Johnson, 44-years-old, was convicted of taking more than a $100,000 dollars for summer boxing camps in 2007 and 2008, but the camps never materialized. Johnson's last fight was in February 2008 where he won a twelve round split decision over Julio Cesar Gonzalez.

No doubt what he did was some b!tch a** hoecake type sh&t... He should have to pay for what he did, but 12 years is way too excessive... I was thinking definitely some hard time, maybe a year, BUT then like 5 years of doing some community type ****... That way the he can at least repay the community that he took the money from... THAT WOULD BE JUSTICE... He's only human, just make him pay for his mistake and man up to the people he did it to... Don't lock him up for 12 damn years, that's no justice... Community still doesn't get its money back...
