These threads reveal who's in the gym and who's not, who knows professional boxers and who doesn't (no offense to those that don't) because most of your favorite boxers and prospects are dropping 20-30+ pounds in every training camp.

Except for Mayweather, Pacquiao, Williams, Margaito, Caballero, and a few others, all of your favorite boxers cut that amount of weight in training camp.

Martinez easily takes off the 19 pounds he needs to and knock Paul's head into the 3rd row.

sergio is a professional, he says cutting the weight is easy. most of the weight lost will be water. he only has to make weight for 10 mins - then he can hydrate up. he isn't making excuses for himself at all, so others shouldn't either.

        Is this usaul for Sergio?

He has to drop 20 Pounds in 30 days basicsally.

If this isnt an every fight thing for him. Then he may be basking in his own hype a little too much. Paul is training his ass off.

Thats common knowledge. Ofcourse most fighters are dropping 20-30 pounds.

But they arent all dropping that much weight 4 weeks before the fight.

Prospects not really because they fight so often but yea thats true

When you come out of a fight, you rest and get fat

Ofcourse fighters have to drop a lot of weight but they dont wait until 30 days out.

But 4 weeks before a fight. Every fighter isnt 20 Pounds over the limit.
It's not common knowledge, this is a boxing forum and most posters probably think fighters walk around at their rehydration weight.

He's 19 pounds over the limit and through road work and 3 hours of training a day for 6 days a week, Sergio gets rid of those pounds easily. In that schedule, boxers lose 3,4,5,6+ pounds after workout (of course they gain most of it back after eating), so the fact is they lose it easy. Martinez could healthily lose that in a month.
