I really hope the fans come out and support this fight. And hopefully Sergio gets a fair shake from the judges.

Paul Williams is sounding more like a b!tch as time travels. He will still have to come down to 157.. I hope Martinez pulls a "Mayweather" and shows up at 160 saying:
I'm the middleweight champion of the World and I come at 160, the limits of the class.
That would be a classic move by the Champ.

Now we know why Williams wanted the catch weight...

30 days may seem like a lot of hard work to the average person, but to a professional training hard; it may be a different story.

People on both sides of opinion have valid reasons to believe whether it'll affect him or not. We'll just have to see I guess.

I didn't know why Williams was asking for a 157-pound catchweight, but now it seems more clear.

It would be a real low blow if Martinez was weight-drained on fight night.

cmon you know how most people think that professional athletes with coaches and nutrionist are in the same boat as these posters. so something hard for them would be hard for a pro boxer. ive lost 10 pounds in 2 days before. msotly water weight you gain some of it back but if you stay in gym and eat right lil by lil you chop it off for good(until you stop training and start eating everything again). roadwork you burning anywhere from 500-1000 calories. and training your burning anywhere from 1000-5000 maybe more. and with the diet your body is burning mroe calories throughout the whole day.

its nothing. some have a harder time than others. ricky hatton for example drop 40 pounds each camp no problem where joan guzman has a problem. everyone different.
martinez is prob use to it and looks like he doesnt gain too much in fat.

Sergio's built like a god. come to think of it so is williams in his own doppleganger tradition

176 lbs isnt much over the weight he'll be looking at for fight night. he might walk into the ring at a bit less than 170

                      he's almost six feet tall
he's got the reach of a LHW
                      decent sized shoulders

he's been at 154 for years

no way that weight is gonna be a problem for him.

                      the dude is chisled
i bet weight just falls off of him

if he actually entered camp at 200 lbs as it's been speculated then i might question his habits as a champion

he's a good sized guy but i couldnt see him hitting 200 lbs unless he was hitting the buffet and mixed drinks

cannot wait to see this fight
gonna guess both guys show up in championship shape

also... anybody seen pcitures of these weights?
                      are they official?
they might have clothing and shoes on for all we know
