That fight was always scheduled to take place in 2011 I think, so yes. Arum just wanted to make sure it was as big as possible and both guys have increased their profile/marketability by leaps and bounds since their names were linked. If Lopez impresses against a legend and HOF candidate, just makes the Gamboa fight that much bigger. Top Rank wants to break the under welter PPV record of 400K buys set by Pac-Marquez and I think they just might do it.

If Khan's chin holds up, he's going to clean out the 140 lb division and then move up to 147 for a megafight. I think Maidana is the biggest threat to him because of his power, but Amir will outbox him easily and he'll wait on Bradley-Alexander and both guys are too small, too slow, not enough power, don't have the skill to deal with Khan.

Pacquiao-Khan or Mayweather-Khan could realistically happen next fall. I don't know how the trainer situation would work for Pac-Amir though.

eventually it won't. At some point Khan will get tested and it seems like he has a tendency to stay hurt after being knocked down rather than recover quickly.

I also think that while Maidana has the raw power to KO Khan I also feel that the timing of Alexander and the grinding style of Bradley also KO Khan.

November and December might be so good that it makes us forget how ****ty this year was for the sport.....3 fights I'm really hyped up for...Abraham-Froch, Khan-Maidana and of course B-Hop-Pascal.

instead of saying all the things my dude can do...I'm gonna flip it and state the things that WORRY me about these opponents....first, Froch is a bonafied SPARTAN....he dont breath fear, he's a VERY strong minded fighter who won't break because the pressure is on...nah, not Froch .....real tough fight for my dude Abe.

Khan's chin is the ONLY thing that worries me....NOTHING about Maidana besides his punching power mixed with AK's china is my ONLY concern in that one.

Pascal isn't capable of making B.Hop fight for 3 minutes a round.....Pascal doesn't have the style....but he has the crowd and ALOT of confidence...he doesn't have a ego, its LEGIT self-belief.....B.Hop might need more than ALOT to convince the young gun that he can't win.....thats what worries me in that one....there's a strong chance that a 46 yr old man shows up on fight night and not the 46 yr old genetic freak we're used to seeing.
