    Vitali Klitschko Vs. Chris Arreola

Arreola shows up in this fight with a good attitude, and in lighter shape than his past 3 fights. Vitali looks better than he has in any other fight I have reviewed.

    Round 1

Arreola comes out aggressively but Klitschko simply moves away, jabs, and strikes. Arreola did not land one punch that entire round, even his jabs were off. He cannot time Klitschko or keep up with his head movement. Klitschko counters Arreola's aggression with his own higher intensity punching, completely neutralizing Arreola. All Arreola manages to do this round is waste energy. Good boxing from Vitali, Arreola looks like he will be totally outclassed as I expected.

    Round 2

This fight is seriously shaping up. Arreola clearly wants this title, he is aggressive and going after his man. Arreola is not punching when he moves forward, and is not jabbing as he comes in. As he moves in Klitschko simply moves his head, takes a step back and counters, 3 to Arreolas 1. A great round that goes to Vitali for good ring generalship, great boxing abilities, and deffinently the cleaner more effective blows. This is a helluva fight! Vitali breathing very heavily in the corner but is the better aggressor so far!

    Round 3

Klitschko controlling the pace now. Arreola seems to realize that his aggression is just hurting him now. Arreola still in the fight, but lands few shots and has virtually no offense or defense here except coming forward, no jabs, no nothing, Vitali has completely neutralized him! The difference in class is obvious. Vitali has established his jab, I say that it is all down hill for the slowing Arreola now.
PS Chris Arreola's wife looks like a ******

    Round 4

This is the kind of fight noone can complain about! Arreola may not be pretty, he may not have much in the skills department, but this guy has guts. Arreola wins round 4 on aggression and punches landed, some great counters from Vitali however. Vitali demonstrating a lack of ability to punch moving away again, but it doesn't matter. Arreola has to move forward at such a awkward rate that he cannot put a solid shot down the pipe. Great fight from both fighters! This is the only round I score for Arreola so far.

    Round 5

Yet another action packed round! These guys are throwing it all in! Arreola still showing serious guts, coming forward and pressuring Vitali. Vitali is making him look like a amateur at this point, beautiful counter punching. It seems now that Vitali is moving backwards on purpose, getting Arreola to follow him and landing on him mid stride! Amazing work!

    Rounds 6 and 7

Good rounds for Vitali, continuing to control the fight, the distance, and Arreola with straight shots

    Round 8

A tough one to call! Amazing round. Could go either way, Arreola for aggression and solid punches landed, or Vitali for defense and short jabs. I give it to Vitali, he seemed to land more shots and seems to be in control of the round.

    Round 9

Holy ****, this is what a championship fight is supposed to be! What guts from Arreola, and what skill from Vitali! That round goes to Vitali, I think Arreola either took a breather or is starting to slow, his face is a red mess. The distance is once again apparent between the two as Vitali controls the fight, but this is a war! Arreola is reduced to blindly throwing shots after Vitali strikes, which he obviously misses. Vitali does not put much of anything in his shots, he may not have any real heavyweight power but the number, angles, and accuracy of these shots is impressive!

This was easily the toughest match of Vitali's career, easily. Arreola has a serious pair of brass balls, he didn't stop fighting or show a single sign of discouragement throughout the entire bout. Vitali put on the best showing in his entire career here, deffinently. His skill is equal to Arreola's balls man!

How does noone ever mention a fight like this? This was a must see, easily one of the best fights of recent years in any division! Vitali Klitschko boring? My ass, he has shown no hint of being boring throughout all of the reviews I have seen. If the fight is boring, it is obviously the opponents fault, as 90% of them just fold up and eat the shots all night long because they are just bums, not this Arreola guy, he took it to the champion! I think a rematch would be golden! That was a championship fight, from the heavyweight champion of the world!

      Vitali Klitschko Vs Corrie Sanders

Obviously everyone knows about this one.

      Round 1

From the get go the difference in experience between this Vitali, and the Arreola one is huge. Vitali is holding his hands apart and sitting on the back heel. Almost waiting to see what Sanders is going to do and not knowing himself how to tackle the opponent. Sanders has no immediate defense whatsoever, literally, it is actually kind of funny to see him and listen to how people complain about the old time fighters standing the same exact way. He would be fairly easy pickings for the Arreola-Vitali it seems. Late in the round Vitali badly badly hurt by a very short left hand, Sanders baited him in and nailed him, Vitali of course having no defense for such a situation with his hands far apart and below his chin. Vitali would have been in serious trouble if that happened earlier in the round. Round Sanders

      Round 2

Vitali turns on, dominating this round. I agree with the announcers, Sanders seems to have either lost the spirit of war, or is winded already. Vitali lands at will, Sanders has no counter for anything Vitali does except hold his hands down and protect his brain with his skull...Looks like this is going to be a beating.

      Round 3

More of the same for a while, Vitali dominating a dead dull scarecrow that flails its arms like those ****in giant tube socks in peoples yards, its hilarious! Late in the round Sanders nails Vitali with a partially absorbed left hook, the same way he did it in round 1, but this time it just pisses Vitali off who starts to batter Sanders with right hands, which...news flash...are flush against herp derp Sanders with his freaking hands in the wrong spot. Great round, goes to Vitali

      Rounds 4

Klitschko completely dominates. Sanders doesn't even try. He is finished, Kaput, this bum may have not even thought to win this fight before. He has no heart, and is a disgrace to the boxing ring. Props to Vitali for not kicking this piece of **** in the nuts for wasting his time...Sanders does not land or throw one meaningful shot. Vitali keeps his composure and lands at will.

      Round 5

This fight should be stopped, should have been over at the end of this round. This is disgraceful. I am watching a talented heavyweight champion beat up a street bum in Corrie Sanders...Sanders still refuses to even try, real champions the world over are vomiting over this bout.

      Rounds 6 and 7

Sanders starts to pick up some. Vitali continues to crush him with right hands

      Round 8

Sanders may have been a ****ty street bum, but that ****ty street bum's only quality was heart, he finished on his feet swinging like a drunk tube sock thing. Great round, good performance from Vitali as expected.

What is 4 pounds? Lewis was 37 and only 4-5 pounds over his prime weight, who cares? Do you really think it makes that much of a difference? Lewis was in a ring with an animal who after the 3rd round only had the use of one eye. If there were a rematch and Lewis came in even at 245 he wouldve gotten beat, and therefore he retired.

Old Lewis fought Vitali's fight and kicked his ass. Vitali's greatest accomplishment is losing to Lennox Lewis.

Blobby put it bluntly. Vitali fought Lewis' fight is more like it, but meh. That fight was very close, and Lewis was in the worst shape of his career, and the least formidable since Pre-Prime. I would argue that Lewis was in his prime when he was fighting the likes of Razor Ruddock and Frank Bruno. 10 years and 20lbs ago. I think most others will agree with me by a very large margin.

If Lewis were prepared, as he was with Tyson, give me a fight plan for Vitali to beat him...I just cannot see any way even Arreola Vitali can beat Lewis.

              Vitali Klitschko vs Lennox Lewis

              THE TRUTH

Vitali took the fight on just 10 days notice.

Vitali was clearly winning the fight 4-2 on all 3 scorecards at the time of the controversial doctor stoppage. Lewis was badly hurt and was staggering around the ring like a drunk, he barely survived the 2nd round. Lewis was getting outboxed, outworked, outlanded and was hurt several times in the fight.

              punches landed

              Vitali 156

              Lewis 102

Lewis was exhausted, worn down and hurt from the accumulation of punches and was ready to get KTFO again, he collapsed onto his stool at the end of the 6th round, Vitali was the fresher of the two, he was a man on a mission and would've KO'd Lewis for sure if the fight had continued.

All the fans at Staples Center cheered for Vitali and booed Lewis after the fight.

              Lewis promised Vitali a rematch.

Vitali destroyed Kirk Johnson in 2 rounds and called out Lewis again in the post fight interview. The scared Lewis retired shortly after that fight.

Lewis turned down 30 million dollars for a rematch and retired like a coward because he knew he would get destroyed by Vitali.

Vitali dominated Lewis and scared his bitch ass into retirement.

George Foreman: "Vitali was winning the fight. Lewis got lucky. There has to be a rematch!"

Jim Lampley: "A lucky escape for Lewis who was clearly losing the fight"

Even Emanuel Steward was upset and pissed off at Lewis for blatantly ducking a Vitali rematch.

Lewis is scared to death of Vitali.

Vitali dominated Lewis and scared him into retirement. That's a FACT.

There was no real game plan to beat Lewis, he got hit with shots and knocked out. I didn't see much of a gameplan that produced that from Rahman and McCall, it can happen to anyone but on that note come up with a gameplan other than hoping you cut Vitali or hoping he gets injured in order to produce a win against him. No such game plan really exists for either fighter and its too bad that the question of who the better fighter was has not really been answered in any conclusive manner.

Here is a better one. Lewis was coming off of his spectacular domination over Tua into the Rahman fight, and got KTFOed for not taking Rahman seriously.

Lewis had dominated tough boxer Tony Tucker and power hitting Frank Bruno, all 3 of these contenders are better fighters than anyone Vitali has faced or even been up against to date, when he was KTFOed by Oliver Mccall. With both Mccall and Rahman Lewis came back to put on some of the most brutal displays in boxing history...No comparison here...

The point is that Lewis was clearly in the worst shape of his career...that was the point. And you could look at him and tell it, he thought he was big ****, and still beat Vitali...Not only could Vitali not significantly hurt him, but he could not create a lopsided fight(It was damn near even if you are not blind) and was clearly hurt in the 6th by Lewis...Even without bringing in the scoring rule that all rounds that could go either way automatically go to the champion, the fight was STILL near even...

So stop disrespecting a all time great heavyweight by calling him a mother ****ing coward, a ****ing bum, and saying that he got his ass beat WHEN HE DIDN'T! The fact of the matter is that ANY fighter in history would be good to live up to Lewis, or any other fighter at his level...But you guys insist on downgrading some of the best fighters in history with ignorant, biased views on the sport...Vitali does it too...
