you cant be serious. floyd never unified 130 & only fought 2 fightes you could consider good at 130, even then, they wont even make it in the hall of fame. floyd didnt really have a very good reign in terms of title defense, length, or quality opponents. 8 title defenses & his two best wins are vs genaro hernandez in his last fight before retiring & diego corrales.

now compare that to other greats like azumah nelson who had a much stiffer competition & a much longer reign with 13 or 14 defenses at 130.

dont even make me argue for arguello floyd doesnt come close. elorde, kobayashi, even someone like sammy serrano & alfredo escalera had greater 130lb reigns.

I admit I'm not as hip to what Kobayashi did, so I will definatly have to do some research. Good **** bro....you stay school people on legends of the game.
kobayashi was good, but he was good at a time where superweight boxing was dominated by japanese fighters. the guy rarely fought outside of japan and most of the fighters he did fight were japanses. nice, but im certain if he had fought arguello or nelso or floyd in the same era he would have lost.

So you're going on "What if" he didn't move up, expect he did move up.

You're rating Floyd on just that he was the most skilled of them ?, even though he only has 2 very good 130 lbs on his resume who are borderline HOFers at best.

He really doesn't have an argument for #1 unless you're going strictly on skill.

just look at it this way Manny has been in pro boxing longer and in his entire career has been ranked below Mayweather up until 2008

the difference between u and me is im stating who was dominant and ur stating who fought in this era and that era. floyd would have been dominant at 130 regardless of the era he fought. kobayashi and elorde fought good fighters, but many of the fighters they fought werent great they werent that much better than the fighters floyd fought. 130 has never been a show stopper division, so in acting like these guys fought (and lost to) vastly superior talent that floyd, your observation is severely flawwed.
