I enjoyed the hell out of it. But I could watch a 24/7 of Ruiz vs Valuev and be happy. I just enjoy them.

'Twas sad in a beautiful way.

i didnt like it because it was gonna force me to buy the fight

the gritty documentarian approach could become stale just as quick, too, though, so it has to maintain a vital art-aesthetic element if they go that route - I'd want it to have a grindhouse exploitation feel, only with boxing and boxers. Yeahhhhhhh. I'm starting to visualize that.

As for the current "pretty" (widescreen, cinematic) feel of the show, I think they probably just need some more inspired contributors to shake it up and bring in fresh ideas.

What if the shows did away with the voiceover and allowed for a natural flow of editing to tell the stories that need to be told, interweaved with richly interpretive boxing-art pieces like this one (fan-made, but using 24/7 footage),

          ?
Maybe, but I think I'm just becoming sick of boxing. I've been feeling it for a while now. I don't know if its just the lack of fights this year or the tiresome politics that surround the sport and all its dishonesty towards the fans and its own integrity.

Cutting its nose to spite its face.

I'm just fatigued with the whole thing. Last night while watching it I was trying my best to get into it and all I could feel is numbness, alienation and detachment.

Like my whole body was shot up with novocaine.

Pacquiao's not going to talk ****, he's a Congressman and a role model for millions. Can you imagine how bad it would look if Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi had cameras following them around 24/7 and all they did was throw money at the lens and talk ****, curse, and act a fool? That kind of coonery buffoonery is a bad look for people in that position, extremely undignified and unprofessional. The Honorable Emmanuel D. Pacquiao is above that. But Freddie can talk trash for 5 people if he had to, so he's got that covered.

Margo sounded like he has the beggining of punch drunk syndrome. Not to evident but he has traces. He is a face first fighter and has taken a lot of damage during his career

Margarito is kinda funny and his story is interesting but lets face it, no one cares about Manny in congress,
No one cares about his obsession with Floyd Mayweather jr at this stage,
All he ever does is talk about him.

He looked terrible in sparring and Freddie Roach at the end was gay as hell, with the stuff he was saying holding the mitt's.

Won't be watching the next one.
yeah that was crazy, he talked about him for like a whole minute, and on top of that, I heard that the question asked was about Hatton, Pacquiao just brought him up out of the blue, whats up with that? I mean WOW!?!?, you can't just talk about whatever you want, it's not a Real World confession booth, dude I totally agree, now lets go act like idiots. ****in dumbass.

I thought Pacquiao was ****in hilarious when he was asked about the handwraps and Floyd, I didn't expect that out of him. I guess some people caught feelings. It was an okay episode, not great, not as bad as the doucebag tried to make it sound. It was like an introduction episode, cover certain topics, handwraps, congress, Floyd, Mosley, and then some training. 30 minutes aint much.

Yeah, I've felt the same way for spells in this second half of the year.

Maybe the fights we're all hyped for in the next 2 months will end the year on a high and set up some bright things for 2011. But the way things have gone, I wouldn't be totally surprised if all those turned out to be disasters for one reason or another, too.

If nothing else, though, any lean spells are a chance to fill the void by closing some boxing history knowledge gaps. That's how I'm going to start combatting the boxing blues, anyway. Order up some career-sets and see some fights I've never seen.
