By far the WORST Episode of 24/7 I have ever seen...

I kinda agree, I don't even think its the fighters fault though, the whole 24/7 thing has just gotten stale.

I think the writing is terrible and the voice over just makes you wanna go to sleep.

Liev Schriber or whatever his name is, is overrated and overpaid as hell.

He can suck a bag of ****s with that long drawl of his.

I can see the argument for a shake-up and wouldn't be against it, but I still see a lot more positive than negative in the format as it is.

The writing *has* become formulaic, but the overall aesthetic of the show is something I dig.

Its pretty to look at because of their budget, but I could only get excited about saturated colors in a wide shot of the beach so many times.

I would make it more gritty and documentarian instead of such an obvious infomercial style which it has become. It was neat the first few times, now its just gay.

And this is coming from someone who's really looking forward to this fight.

The show itself is getting tired. Its almost always the same 2 fighters. I've had enough of Floyd throwing money around and talking **** and I've had enough of how nice and humble Manny is. Time for some new blood.

Fight camp has blown 24-7 out of the water imo by using this approach.

                  The bold,

the gritty documentarian approach could become stale just as quick, too, though, so it has to maintain a vital art-aesthetic element if they go that route - I'd want it to have a grindhouse exploitation feel, only with boxing and boxers. Yeahhhhhhh. I'm starting to visualize that.

As for the current "pretty" (widescreen, cinematic) feel of the show, I think they probably just need some more inspired contributors to shake it up and bring in fresh ideas.

What if the shows did away with the voiceover and allowed for a natural flow of editing to tell the stories that need to be told, interweaved with richly interpretive boxing-art pieces like this one (fan-made, but using 24/7 footage),

                  ?

Margarito is kinda funny and his story is interesting but lets face it, no one cares about Manny in congress,
No one cares about his obsession with Floyd Mayweather jr at this stage,
All he ever does is talk about him.

He looked terrible in sparring and Freddie Roach at the end was gay as hell, with the stuff he was saying holding the mitt's.

Won't be watching the next one.

I liked that one, too, because it highlighted Roy's spiritual rebirth, which was especially poignant when juxtaposed with the ruined state of Jones Jr. as an athlete - Roy's reflections upon how he mis-spent his Halcyon days in a surly, uncommunicative, aloof funk, seeing him desperately wanting to address that, to rewrite those years, but with his abilities too faded to ever capture that level of spotlight again.
