    Interesting honest comments from Mormeck.

He admits he was not ready for Wlad. "If he wants to beat me up he has to pay me more money"

His comments on Vitali-Briggs are accurate. That referee should not be permitted to work another fight.

It makes sense for Mormeck and Boytsov to target the more beatable Haye instead of going in the IBF tournament. He would have no chance against Wladimir.

That's exactly the problem, Wlad is offering good money but he is not going to offer retirement fund type of money to a Mormeck or a Tua type fighter. It's not really Wlad's fault that all these top boxers have no confidence in winning so they want that last retirement paycheck when Wlad beats the **** out of them. The Klitschkos are not a retirement foundation for boxers, you either become a mandatory or become marketable like Diva Gaye, but hell, even for $2.5 million you have fighters ducking them, so I am not sure that the Klitschkos can do anything. They are both more feared than Tyson or any other HW in history at this point... when you have guys like Lewis turning down a $30 million shot against Vitaly, and Povetkin ducking his mandatory for 2 years and foregoing a $2.5 million payday and Gaye running scared from a 50/50 shot that will probably net him at leat $10 mil. You know the most feared HW champs in history are...

rahman is not exactly the best choice for a step up match.rahman is big,can punch & has some skill.the winner is right up near the top to fight haye.if rahman(big if)gets in shape he will crush mormeck imo.who thought rahman would get this close to a title shot again after his poor performance vs wlad? i did just like i said briggs & tua would get shots.ray austin is 1 fight away again as well....all 37 & above & people say the division isn't weak? its a ****ing recycling bin...lol!

It's logical that everyone wants to face Haye, since he's the weakest belt holder by far. It's refreshing to see Mormeck is at least honest about it

The division isn't weak. Most of the younger fighters like Helenius, Boytsov, and Pulev would destroy Mormeck or Rahman.

But most of the old guys fight other old guys (example Tua fought Ahunyana and Barrett) and AVOID the talented young boxers.

But everybody wants a crack at David Haye. It's a similar situation to men going after a promiscious small-town slut because they think she's easy.

Mormeck's honesty is refreshing in a division (aside from the K-Bros) full of BS artists.

For some reason, I don't believe the referee should have stopped the Briggs fight. I think when you have a 50+ fight veteran in the ring and he looks like he's getting really hurt, then you should stop the fight. Even though Briggs looked defenseless at times, I never really thought that Briggs was in serious concussive danger. I would not have argued a stoppage obviously, but when a true warrior doesn't give in and would rather be taken out on his shield, then so be it! He never even took a knee. I think some blame has to be given to the fighter for not taking a knee if they are in serious trouble. In any event, I saw Briggs getting hit with clean shots, but they didn't seem to be KO worthy. In a Heavyweight Championship fight where you have some seriously experienced fighters, then I don't think it should be stopped unless its certain and catastrophic danger on the horizon. I just don't think this was one of those times.
