Each fighter is affected differently. First off Roy body was mostly muscle. Hardly no fat on his body. Everyone wants to say steriods this steriods that. Whatever just trying to talk about one of the greatest fighters i have ever seen. The weight loss is a major factor and you could see that in Jones/Tarver I. Jones/TarverII just was caught with a perfectly timed and executed punch. As far as Jones/Johnson it was a simple fact of mental block from his last fight. Scared to throw punches and Roy just basicly doubting himself. On Oct 1st be ready to see boxing 101-The Sweetest Science by the instructor Roy Jones Jr.Comment

As for my British boyfriends not willing to go to America, could you be more specific please (and why change the subject? maybe your feeling uncomfortable that your hero was a fraud)?Comment

He was 'blown-up' at 193, so naturally he would of lost the weight in the weeks after the Ruiz fight anyway.. and he fought Tarver nine months later. Give me a break. Toney had just SIX WEEKS to lose 52lbs!!

What funny to me is a man dominated 3 Divisions & then beat the Heavyweight Champ who at that point hadnt been beaten since Tua knocked him out but all everyone can say is how he is a fraud after he gets knocked out late in his career. Everyone talks about what fights he coulda and shoulda taken. But what about those people he was suppose to fight why didnt they make more of an effort to get those fights???? It takes 2 to tango. As far as I'm concerned yes his legacy is tanished by his last two knockout defeats but let be real it came at the end of a stellar career. Roy is still one of the greats whether you want to realize it or not.Comment
