The Ruiz fight Im guessing your talking about?
Jones was misweighed at the weight in at 193 and it went offical. He came in to train for the fight at 192 and for the actual fight he was 201.Comment

The weight loss ****ed him up, he should have stayed at heavyweight. It's his fault, no excuses.Originally posted by I-WISH-A-MF-WOULDWas this a hard fall or what? Only 3 fights ago he looked like he was from the Matrix. Kelly, Woods and Ruiz (for what it's worth)where dominated and the only reason Ruiz finish on his feet is because RJJ let him. Tarver & Johnson are good but put both fighters in their prime against Jones & they fall like all the rest easily.Comment

first of all u mean 7 pounds, and he did indeed weighed at 200 at the weigh in. At the offical weigh in, Roy weighed in at 193 lbs, but Roy was shocked because he thought he weighed more. Later that day, he went back to his hotel, and he weighed himself and it turned out to be 200 lbs. The next day, at the unoffical weigh in, he weighed in at 199 lbs and in fact the same dude who weighed him the day before at the official weigh-in admitted that he made a mistake at determing his weight. So during fight night, he wasn't "overblowned," he was 200 lbs of pure muscle.Originally posted by JUYJUYHow the **** would he put on 17lbs in a day?? And why not weigh 200 at the weigh-in? Lol.
If u dont believe me, go check out the Roy Jones Documentary, and it explains everything.Comment

Have any other fighters jumped up substantially in weight (i.e.not 140-147) and then jumped back down with any success. I just don't know for sure what kind of toll that takes on your body, I would imagine it is quite substantial, and how long it might take to be done succesfullyComment

Lol.Originally posted by JUYJUYWell all Jones had to do was back off roids for a few weeks and he'd be back down weighing in the 150's.
