Definitely Cubans are better boxers. They aren't so stiff and extremely technically sound. There are exceptions though. Lucian Bute from Romania isn't stiff -

I don't understand why pick a whole region with numerous countries against just ONE country?
Why not pick one country like Ukraine or whoever but one country against one country like Cuba is?
Can you answer that for me TS?Comment

Although I picked E. Europe, I agree with this. Comparing it to Latin America at least would make more sense.Comment

Korobov, Pirog, Tishchenko, Lomachenko, Romanchuk, etc all really stiff robots. You're 1960's era American stereotypes are amusing.

Lara, Despaigne, Solis, Gamboa all lose.
One thing that can't be debated is how often Cubans are undisciplined, lazy, or primeadonns once they hit the pro ranks. Something you rarely if ever find amongst the Europeans.Last edited by Mikhnienko; 10-23-2010, 05:04 PM.Comment

If you're talking Amateur Boxing & continents, Central/South America vs Europe take a look at the 2009 World Championship results. Europe > American's at the lighter weight divisions.
