It's the Daily Mail reporting. They always sensationalise something, then disclose fuller information later on.
Anyway, the story does seem to make sense. If Haye was involved, I imagine the same photgrapher would have taken a photo of Haye looking at the wreckage etc., which is a far more lucrative photo to have.
