Last time I checked he(Berto) has defended his belt successfully 5 times, Shane lost his belt on May 1st 2010(1st defense, I'm not counting legacy as that does not come into play in this situation being that Shane is begging or was, for fights). I think 50/50 is fair, not to mention it's even more than fair being that Shane just got a DRAW with.............................................. ...MORA????????

Com-on Chiefy,if Berto could beat Shane it would have done wonders for his career..Shane lost his belt to a great fighter(Floyd)and Mora was running for the hills the whole night anyone who gave that fight a draw needs glasses bottom line..Berto did not beat anyone on the level of a Mosley which means he needs a great fighter to start being taken seriously...IMO asking for 50/50 is saying hey I don't want that fight...

I see alot of hate on these threads for a Champ that is asking for the tough fights. He is letting the right names sliop out of his mouth, and all of ya'll down him?????????????????? The kid does have talent, and has shown that he can fight in more than one way. He is calling out Champions and ya'll aint got nothin to say but some hateful bull****?????????????? I want to see what Andre can do with the elite, and from my recollection he did have a fight with Shane signed, and sealed. Unfourtunately Haiti was devastated by an earthquake and sc****d that fight. Stop cryin an b!tchin when a Champ calls for fights with other Champs.

Put your feelings a side and get real. Shane isn't knocking nobody out! He's done!! Cotto is done as well. And Berto is bigger than Manny probably just as fast. So manny would be in a real fight a hell of a better fight than Margarito. So stop all the god damn hatin!!

Shane is done because Mora survived with his running shoes??I believe you need a better measuring stick then that fight to really say Mosley is done..Shane and everyone else mention would stop Berto..He drinks and party's on the side when not fighting,he is no big deal IMO and I don't see him beating any decent WW..I believe Abregu beats Berto...

Basically what it all comes down to is. People would rather sit on this site all day and talk about who they think would win this or that fight instead of actually seeing the fight. With all the fan boys around here and the so called best trainers it doesn't matter. Cause only two people get in the ring. Shane was never a PPV attraction. I'm curious how did his numbers with Mora do??? Berto is a young undfeated champion at this point in their careers a win over Shane for Berto means nothing. Since everyone is already calling him an old man since Mayweather dominated him. But a win over Berto would do great things for Shane and put him back in the mix. So 50/50 is fair. I know Shane is your boy but that fight with Mora was terrible. I was embarassed for Shane but it is what it is. If he still feels he has something left then fight Berto and let's see. Instead of just picking our favorite fighters.
