Even though I live on a street which thankfully avoids most of the crime which isn't as bad as those surrounding the place; Nottingham was voted like the 2nd worst city in the UK and the gun crime capital of England..

When boxing is mainly a way to get guys out of the ****** but many fall by the wayside and get shafted by the sharks in that ******. I got friends who ended up hooked up with protection jobs and drug habits and drop out of an amateur run because they didn't have the discipline to get out of the ******. If the whole ******fabulous thing wasn't going on you'd think they'd know the ****** is something you need to work OUT of and help eradicate in the long term.

But yeah I get you and I think he was talking about America where the big fast food joints are destroying the nutrition of the young bloods coming up pumpiong them full of carbs.

You seen the recent BK breakfast ad campaign? Makes it look like a BK breakfast is what the guys in that shot are eating when theres no way they could chowing down on that **** if they're looking that big.

I change what I said... I didn't mean it like that. I just meant that the "******" is not the same concept as it was back when, lets say, Hopkins grew up... Or Tyson... Government handouts are gradually taking that unique cultural element and just making them government housing projects... No element of community... AND, nobody is hungry, or wants to get out, because the government GIVES them everything they need, AND they can afford MOST OF THE STUFF THEY WANT! Why be hungry if you got a free two story, 4000 square foot house? And if you need a few grand more a month, just have another kid! He's right in a way but it isn't a definite. Detroit was once a proud boxing city but not so much anymore. Gyms have been leaving the city for a while now. Boxing will always be here because it is one of the easiest sports to practice but I don't think it is a definite that there are ******s, boxing will thrive.

Hopkins is living in the past, Boxing has produce boxers from different type of backgrounds, Boxing doesnt thrive on just one type of community/Backgrounds.
