In the ring, his POTENTIAL to be greater has passed. He should have been in the WW mix, instead he retired thinking there was nothing else to prove. WTH? The different excuses of not fighting was embarrassing for boxing as a whole. You can not claim greatness with that type of attitude.

At least Burner is a straight up Floyd fan.
He doesn't hide it. There's nothing worse than masquerading
fairness hiding behind a fake idol. How many times do you have

Obviously not all of us have the same resources as someone who was born into a wealthy family/community? But hard work/perseverance can come a long way. If you feel so strongly about this handle your business then. Best of luck to you in ending racism.


However, I do find it interesting that a person who feels so strongly that his people are being wronged due to racism, defends a boxer who spewed some insulting/arguably racist comments towards pacquiao and filipinos as a whole.

I think this is the general sentiment and, give or take a fact here and there, it's the truth. His out-of-ring actions make him a target and make him look ridiculous at the same time. He may get a reality check very soon, in or out of the ring. However, when it comes to boxing, while I wish he stayed busy I can't find fault. A few years ago I could find plenty but not so lately. He returned after a near-two year layoff and took a tuneup in Marquez as most fighters do. I didn't mind so much as long as he took on a top flight opponent next, which he did by fighting the one guy everyone swore he wouldn't. That said, Mayweather probably has one more great performance in him and he's at the age where another elite fighter could rock his world. We'll see.

He fought Mitchell, Judah and Baldomir the 2 last lineal welterweight champs before moving up to fight a jr middleweight who was walking around as a supper middleweight..

The featherweight you speak of gave Pacquiao 2 boxing lessons and is the one who wanted to fight Floyd. Was also rated number 2 or 1 p4p fighter at the time depending on who you ask.. And right after that fought Mosley
