Because people hate to see a young, black confident person..

People can't even respect him for his skills, it's sad..

and for those that hate him on a personal level, they don't even know the guy..

they act like all these OTHER boxers are saints..

there are guys that do drugs (Leonard, Pryor, Cotto, etc), guys that cheat (Margarito, Mosley, Pac, etc) guys that abuse and cheat on their wives (damn near every boxer), sometimes even the worse kinds of scum, and they do not receive the same kind of hate mayweather gets..

maybe it's jealousy

it's funny, a guy like PAcquiao, seems to say all the right things, but has cheated on his wife numerous times, got a hooker pregnant and had a kid on the side, drinks, takes roids, and has done his share of ducking and draining opponents, doesn't get critisized at all and is loved by a whole lot of people.. go figure
