Above all else, asking (or demanding) Ring mag. to still consider him the champ for some reason bothers me the most. Maybe because he would have to believe they consider him "special"...more so than the other champs that have lost. Asking that of them was a very tacky thing to do. No class.
The cancer foundation did it for me, why would a respected magazine like the Ring will make up a story like this. I know he's a crybaby & bitches about the fight, yes I know he's a great fighter & one of the greatest middleweight of all time, but sorry he is pretty low. I've shown him respect before the Taylor fight & I said many great thing about him. Man you lose one fight, then you show the world your true colors.

that fight, Hopkins did NOT win.
Nope, not sore about him beating Tito. He was a much better fighter in 01 than he is now. The Extortionist is done and will lose another decision in the rematch.

      That's exactly what I said.

Well, he was pissed at the Ring, so punish them. Not the cancer society. I can understand he's upset, but just because HE thinks he won (dont know why he'd think that honestly) doesnt mean that all the fans, etc. that watched the fight should go against what they believe and what they saw with their own eyes. And that is exactly what he's demanding of the Ring! That little move was as tacky as when Bowe asked Lennox to let him have the gold medal, even though Lennox beat him. I say be a man and show some class.

          i dont like either Hopkins
          or Taylor. I totally unbiased.

The fight was too close to call. I still think it was a draw. I dunno Taylor has to beat Hopkins convincingly for him to become champion. Right now, there's so much to dispute. I am hoping there's should be rematch to set things right.

not just mine. a poll was
                taken most people think it
was a draw or hopkins won.
i judged it, it came out
to a draw and i dont even
                like hopkins.

i didn't mean you were the only one who thought it, i meant you keep saying it was a draw like its a matter of fact when it's not. we'll find out in the re-match anyway, personally i think taylor stole the fight, i hadn't seen much from him before the fight to make me think he would win and i personally think hopkins will adjust and win the re-match

This is as ridiculous as the excuse for Taylor that 'diego' made. He lost "minimal" blood AT MOST, you make it sound like blood was just flowing from the cut... wow, now thats a new excuse for Taylor i haven't heard.. diego, you should jump on this one. It's about as incompetent a statement as your "the cut made him stop fighting" excuse.

The only reason you think Taylor 'won/is better' is because you don't like him personally with the things he's done outside the ring. You give yourself away with the rest of your post. Oh, the ignorance.

And BTW, as far as punching behind the head goes, Taylor was TURNING AROUND like a coward many times to avoid punches, you pull that **** and you can bet your ass im gonna hit you in the back of the head. Bad strategy on Taylor's part. Stop doing it. These are young, unexperienced fighter mistakes that Taylor is going to have to correct. (Which i have no doubt he will cause he's smart.)

No, you're looking at the fight in retrospect. Taylor won more rounds. That's how you win boxing matches; you win more rounds.
