manny pacqiao isint that good he just weight drains opponents thats how he is going down in history as a cheater that used his fame to get his way
First, if you would watch this tribute (courtesy of "rbgnwo") with an open mind, then I will respond to your second question at the bottom of the video. If you take the bias out and watch with no predjudice feelings, I don't see how you could not appreciate his amazing talent.

I'm also posting "rbgnwo" response to a post in his thread (that contained that video) because I don't think I could have said it any better then he does right here:

"I just can't understand how any boxing fan could hate manny the way some do. The guy epitomizes everything good about the sport- Heart, Discipline, Focus, Triumph, Strength. On top of that, he's always humble, he gives back to his people, and he hasn't let the fame go to his head, and he never insults or puts down anybody- not even the people he fights. He came from nothing, and just by his heart alone got to where he is now.

If you can't be a fan of Manny Pacquiao, who can you be a fan of?

The haters really stretch it when they try to discredit and defame him, throwing in garbage like Steroids when he's never been tested positive and he agreed to the tests with Floyd. Saying his fights are rigged when there's absolutely no proof for that, and aside from Clottey he fights all the dangerous fights against guys who are all heart, and he always lays it all out on the ring.

I get the feeling that *****s are the crustiest, saddest most bitter excuses for human beings on the planet.

How can you hate a guy who gives you no reason to hate him? You have to be extremely bitter to do that."

    Bravo.

****! he said that 135 was to high for Paquiao to fight Morales in the 3rd fight.

How many times does this have to be explained? For the nth time, let me try again.

Cotto was Pac's first legit welterweight opponent, and most people, as well as Roach himself, were wondering whether Pac could take the punches of a full-blown welter and whether he could bring his power up with him. Thus, the catchweight of 145 to level the playing field somewhat. We all saw after Cotto's destruction that Pac could handle welterweight punches since Cotto is one of the hardest-hitting punchers around. This gave Roach the confidence to agree to a 147lbs fight with Clottey.

Why is Pac asking for a catchweight of 151 against Margarito? For the exact same reason why he asked one from Cotto. I can guarantee you that IF Pac shows that he is able to handle Margo easily at 151, then he and Roach would not hesitate to fight the next opponent at the 154 limit.

When you want to push a person's physical capabilities to their extreme limits, you have to do so in slight increments. Otherwise, it can result in injuries. That is simply what they have been doing with Pac's ability to move up in weight divisions.

Umm...because Pac was still relatively smaller at the time? You obviously never heard that most people tend to gain weight as they mature.

First off I don't think it's fair to bring Ray Leonard into this mix because his catchweight was actually for two belts (in 2 separate divisions) on the same night where one-half of that equation was the inaugural night for the newly formed 168 lb division. Apples & oranges' comparison to what will happen on Nov. 13th. But what really makes it even worse (imo) is the way this belt even got put on the line: Giving Sergio Martinez an arbitrary & capricious (10 day written reply) mandate to choose b/w this 54 strap or his newly acquired 160 green (arguably the 2nd most prestigious belt in boxing history beside HW), and then to allow this Nov. 13th fight to acquire that vacant world strap at a catch no less which is still most likely 150, not 151???? Just doesn't make sense and I doubt all the other floating scale comparisons like Floyd vs. JMM (non title fight btw) set any kind of foundation and validity to this upcoming November 13th farce. I mean damn, chose the gloves, chose the ring size, you can even chose the weigh-in like make in late Saturday morning instead of Friday afternoon (limiting Marg's rehydration time); but why in the world would a vacant world title be contested for anything less than the scale limit is beyond me...especially when Sergio had to cough it up after Sulemain and Diamond (with the help of Bob the buzzing bee in their ear, no doubt) gangstered it away?

Manny treated JMM as a friend and fellow warrior and invited him to the Philippines to do a commercial and get paid. You are right that JMM called Manny in front of his people, well called is not the actual word, in fact insulted is more appropriate. Even Arum and some sportswriter called JMM's action as pathetic and ******. Your boy, JMM is a cry baby. If I'm Manny, I will not give your boy any rematch. I will not give him a big paycheck before he retires. And by the way, do not get your information from a tabloid or a pennysaver. Get your record straight from a reputable sports source. The first fight between JMM and Manny was a draw. There was an error in scoring. The second fight was won by Manny by a decision.QUOTE=boxingfan76;9424499]like i said pac hasnt answered the 500 call outs and thats a fact!!! jmm even flew to the philipines and called that biatch out infront of all his people!!! pac doesnt turn down winnable fights period. no reason not to face jmm , i dont care if pac is a heavyweight now, maybe he puts jmm away for good , but u know what? the fact remains, he aint risking it! he got outpuched twice felt the leather twice was wobbled several times they both were, and hed rather not go there. look at the official score 1 point seperates the last decision and a draw! 4 knockdowns 24rounds and 1 point seperates them???? it should be a 30 point lead son!!!! name barrera name morales, but with jmmm dont even go there we all know that wasnt no convincoing win not even officially,on top of the compubox which jmm took twice son.jmm won more rounds landed more punches threw less was way more accurate, and unfortunatly the EARLY knockdows cost him the fight on 1 point, otherwise they are 2 handy ass beatings pac recieved. people hate jmm cuz hes a sore spot in their ass. MANNY STILL AINT ANSWERED THAT CALL!!! hes fighting margs , pulease dude.[/QUOTE]

What was he twelve at the time? Paquiao is fighting Margarito at his walk around weight and that's 20 lbs more than 135 he could have easily fought Morales at 135 even then. He also looked ripped for the Diaz fight. I remember Emanuel Steward being surprised because he noticed Paquiao didn't show any signs of going up in weight like excess fat.

                    Pacquiao The Catch-Weight Champ!

I don't think Pacquiao has ever face someone as big and strong as Tony. We all know what Manny is going to do, he is going to weigh-in at 149 if not less then pretend like nothing happend. Who ever saw the Ivan Calderon Vs Giovanni Segura fight knows what will happen in this fight. Everybody said the same thing about Segura..that he had no skills and that he wouldn't win....and we all know the end result. I know the fight will start off very shaky for the Tijuana Tornado but expect him to gain steam in the 5 or 6 round. I think the Tornado will start off by fighting tall then adjust as the rounds go by.... Tony has the Chin that Cotto doesn't have and the aggressiveness that Clottey didn't demostrate vs Manny. All I can say is that this is going to be a WAR!!!

Pacquiao didn't name himself that, it was the media who gave him that title. So don't blame Pacquiao; Mosley also is known as the Mexicutioner - you going to comment how many Mexican fighters beat up on Black fighters now? Pathetic!
