It won't even come close to a fixed fight unless margarito just doesnt engage like clottey. If he just stands for 12 rounds and lets manny nail him with every shot then i'd say it's fixed.

I hardly call going up 3 pounds moving up a weight class lol. Until Pac starts fighting at the actual weight limit or allowing his opponents to weigh the weight limit. He's little titles mean nothing!

manny is badass in 135 to 147....he will be smoothered in 154 to 160...quit the sarcasm it makes u look like a cry baby...i didnt say manny is untouchable forever..one way or another somebody will beat him..but until that somebody is here ill put my money on manny...

First off I don't think it's fair to bring Ray Leonard into this mix because his catchweight was actually for two belts (in 2 separate divisions) on the same night where one-half of that equation was the inaugural night for the newly formed 168 lb division. Apples & oranges' comparison to what will happen on Nov. 13th. But what really makes it even worse (imo) is the way this belt even got put on the line: Giving Sergio Martinez an arbitrary & capricious (10 day written reply) mandate to choose b/w this 54 strap or his newly acquired 160 green (arguably the 2nd most prestigious belt in boxing history beside HW), and then to allow this Nov. 13th fight to acquire that vacant world strap at a catch no less which is still most likely 150, not 151???? Just doesn't make sense and I doubt all the other floating scale comparisons like Floyd vs. JMM (non title fight btw) set any kind of foundation and validity to this upcoming November 13th farce. I mean damn, chose the gloves, chose the ring size, you can even chose the weigh-in like make in late Saturday morning instead of Friday afternoon (limiting Marg's rehydration time); but why in the world would a vacant world title be contested for anything less than the scale limit is beyond me...especially when Sergio had to cough it up after Sulemain and Diamond (with the help of Bob the buzzing bee in their ear, no doubt) gangstered it away?

Technically this is Pac's 2nd catchweight because both the Oscar and Clottey fight(s) were contested at a recognized scale of 147 lbs. Your point is well taken though because I see you're as disturbed as I that neither of these guys have done squat at 154 to deserve the chance to pick up a vacant world title with a 150 scale. And that's before you research the derivatives to the equation and see how Martinez was forced to give this title up opening up the door for the Pinoy to make history. This 151 thing is smoke-n-mirrors b/c it will be originally what Bob said and that's 150; which is a mockery of division limits since it's one pound closer to welter than to light middle. Oh well, no centralized commission like NFL, MLB & NBA so this is what the fans are left with: A joke!
