Would love to know how many punches has been landed on Vitali in his last 5 fights, He doesnt seem to get hit that much either...

Vitali isn't as big a puncher as people think he is, what i find amazing is that since he's come out of retirement he's throwing a lot more punches in his fights than he ever did when he was younger.

Exactly. At first I was like, "Yeah! Go! Go! Vitali ranger!" then I was like, "uh, is someone going to stop it or what?" then I was all like, "urp, me starting feel sick," and then finally I ended the fight vomiting all over my laptop keyboard (yeah, I was watching the fight online, cheapskate that I am).

I hate watching beatings, I was like you in looking at someone actually stopping the fight, I was hoping his corner would but then they seem to be egging him on, Then i was hoping the referee did towards round 9 or 10 (?) but nah, No one was sensible enough to put an end to it, Am sure Briggs would suffer the effect of that fight in years to come.

I don't even particularly like Briggs (though I admit he's a pretty funny and colourful character) but the callous and di****able way his corner behaved, sending him out again and again when it was clear he was little more than a human punchbag, made me feel really bad for him. I hope he doesn't suffer any permanent damage from this fight, though I sadly wouldn't be surprised if he did. Briggs's corner deserve to be punched in the mouths repeatedly, like the champs they are. Preferably by Briggs himself.

It's after seeing this kind of coldness from a corner which makes me wonder if Briggs had some kind of understanding with his corner beforehand where it was agreed they did not stop the fight under any circumstances?

Thinking about it I wonder how much that happens? Anyone know of any public agreements like this before fights within teams?

Golota Bowe II was a lot more competitive that's for sure. And it ended several rounds sooner.

I think the big reason is he saw everything he was getting hit with.

He just couldn't do anything about it.


The punch you don't see ko's you, but Vit was pretty blatant with his teeing off, and Briggs saw the shots, he just couldn't get out of their way.

Vitali is a BUM. Landing that many shots on a guy with asthma who's been knocked cold by Darroll Wilson, and not even scoring a knockdown much less a knockout???? He's gonna have to step up his game if he wants to earn a shot at Haye and the Championship.
