In your world, was Holyfield prime?

So you're saying Lennox beat one guy considerably past his prime and a bunch of bums?

Interesting. And here I thought he was a top 10 ATG HW.

Late 90's Holyfeild is the best version of the Real Deal because he was still young enough and the steroids he was taking turned him into an absolute beast.

      96-99 Holyfeid > Prime Vitali

Holyfeild was never stopped in his tracks by simple uppercuts and hooks, and this was against a PRIme Lennox. Vitali struggled against the old version.

We all know he had a freak injury and Byrd had nothing to do at all with Byrd having a W on his record, he just happened to be in the right place at the right time after at that point losing a lopsided decision to Vitali.

Would it really have made a difference if he rematched him really? Vitali is obviously the better fighter and who is here now dominating and who was last seen getting KTFO by a LHW prospect?

I take that as a yes.

          Which makes further discussion unnecessary.

          By all means, troll away.

I used to have Lennox as a top 5 or 6 ATG HW, but his resume just doesn't hold up to scrutiny, unfortunately. Delusional fans like yourself make matters worse.

The unfortunate dilemma for Klitschko fans is that they HAVE to rank Lennox as a top 5 or 6, to make Vitali look good. I dont even have to put Vit in my top 20 because Holyfield, and Tyson, are good enough to solidifytop 10 status. The Vit win was just the icing on the cake for the great Lennox Lewis.

I don't see Lennox as a top 5 HW at all but I think you can make a strong case for top ten and he'd likely be in there. Anyway, in the big scheme of things, this win by Vitali means diddly squat. It's too late for him to carve out a HOF career even though he might've if he hadn't taken four years off.

I would say that Vitaly win was greater than the Tyson win.

Even though Lewis was already past prime he was not shot. Tyson on the other hand was shot to "bolivian"
