sorry but the truth of the matter is that boxing will never be mainstream again. Ufc and mma has taken over that market. Everyone i know talks bout ufc, but when you ask them about boxing they don't want to hear it. And i live in a big city. As long as whites are fighting in ufc mainstream will continue to cover it. Yet they say that boxing is too barbaric. Wtf?

so how come boxing has always outsold UFC ppv wise? i saw the kj noons vs nick diaz fight on showtime, it was amateurish sloppy boxing at best. boxing can be mainstream again if the fights people want to see happen. the fact of the matter is mma only started what in the 90s? boxing has been around since the 1800s. why do you think mma has zero fighters that transcend the sport while boxing continually cranks them out?

ufc mma is like imperial japan in ww2, while boxing is america. boxing is a sleeping giant ready to be awaken again. pearl harbor = floyd vs pacuiquiao. that fight dwarfs anything mma can make including lesnar vs fedor.

Floyd makes HBO money so they will want to stay involved with him until that changes.


Does HBO make any money from Floyd not fighting or do they make money from Floyd fighting, that should answer what will happeans when Floyd decides to fight againt (regargless of opposition). Or Floyd will just say "Hey Showtime I want to do a PPV against Fighter X (not Manny)" and Showtime will say "What Date do you want?".

This article implies that HBO can actually do something onthe matter other than throw money at it, when they are pretty much powerless except from being a money ****ket. They can only hurt Floyd after the fact (he will need them again, just not currently).
