Doing what your suppose to do is impressive.

        This was a trap fight.

So many fighters get tripped up by these sort of fights.

Now Bute has to fight a top guy.

no.....he beat a guy who was much smaller. It was always going to be a mismatch.Bute simply used his physical advantage-he would not be afforded that same luxury against other top opponents.

Impressive KO in an expected result. Looked like Bute wanted to get some rounds under his belt.

But please, no more IBF mismatches. Just drop the ****** belt. No one wants to see him fight Mendy. They are wasting his prime years.

This aint team sports where teams play every week where there are actually trap games with teams looking ahead, this is boxing where a top guy fights at best 3 times a year, I dont see a trap, Brinkley doesnt have that type talent for it to be a "trap" fight, he only had a puncher's chance, what every fighter at least has when they get into the ring, he wasnt going to outbox Bute over 12 rounds in any lifetime.

I dont think he cares about wasting any prime years, he's making a killing up there in Canada.

Not really since like already said a few times in this thread, nobody gave Brinkley much of a chance anyway. It was expected. Yeah he's exciting and all but I still don't see how some ******s can claim him "#1 super middleweight in the world" and not be in the super 6. 2 people pulled out and he didn't decide to replace either of them.

He's still number 2 until he beats the winner of the super 6.

You should ask guys like Alexander(Kontenlik) and Judah(Baldimor didn't have the talent ether) about trap fights.

I believe he was keeping busy with this fight.

I also think Brinkley earned the shot after beating Curtis Stevens.

Before this he knocked out Andrade and Miranda.(Thats pretty impressive)

He can't help that most of big names are in a tourney that he wasn't invited too.

The one criticism I have is that he turned down the Pascal fight for an opportunity to fight Danny Green or Pavlik.
