I agree, there is no shame in losing to those two fighters.

The problem is, Ricky thought that he was the best fighter in the world, and fancied his chances against both.

It was the manner of the loss to Manny that haunts him.

      Manny fooked him up.

His hardcore fans were not internet keyboard warriors who stream free fights, they paid with their damn wallets and were truly organized rather than posers playing fake "mafia" on a website. That grassroots support where your blue collar working class fans PAY hard earned vacation money to see you fight is truly gansta. Boxing will not see that unique support for a LONG time, and it will take something equally as UNIQUE to compare. He injected soccor mob style fandom which was GOOD for the sport of boxing.

Hard way to go out. His whole schtick was he was one of boys, and basically he got clocked, and got clocked quick, and ugly, and his own trainer bailed on him where he was left alone in ring and he walked back to dressing room with no fanfare. Maybe he got a little too big, and set himself up for some of this, but this cat didn't want to do that to his fans.

        Respect.
        Good post man.

Actually, this might be the reason he got more depressed. He trained earlier than Pac and earlier than his other fights, looked good and in shape in the process, has FMJ Sr in his corner. You could tell he was very confident with comments like, "bet your house on me" and "I'll never disappoint". Then he gets blown out in two. That's gonna be pretty depressing if it happened to me.

hahahaha hatton;s depression was caused by many british who sold their house to bet on him. a lot of british became homeless after hatton's lost.
