Why couldn't Ward beat Kessler without all the headbutts? Why couldn't Ward beat Kessler away from his hometown and hometown ref that let him clinch and headbutt? Ward's a farce of a boxer, he cheats to win and people who root for cheaters are as scummy as the people who root for Margarito with his plaster-wraps.

The headbutts played a role in Kessler's performance, but Ward's style is all wrong for him to begin with.

If Lacy headbutts Kessler he could win, then you will make excuses claiming that ward was whooping Kessler before the headbutts which I think is false! The headbutts played a huge role, yet you won't even admit that. Kesslers eye is permanently ****ed up probably related to all the headbutting Ward did. Pretty sure Kessler was having a bit of a vision problem before fighting Froch.

keep kidding yourself by saying ward only beat kessler because of headbutts when the fact of the matter is a significant headbutt didn't even land until round 7, which by then the fight was already over being that kessler was getting whooped every second of every round prior.

He barely beat a 40+ year old Hopkins, imagine him fighting a young, faster version of Hopkins, who also, doesn't just have to fight like Hopkins, but can take the fight in lots of different directions. If he beat Ward, he barely beats. And I bet he'd be too scared of a rematch.

Hell, I would like to see what the guy does with someone like Dirrell.

I agree with this. Cal fans like to throw that out there but i have been saying this since then. People didnt pick lacy cause he showed this abundance of skill that no one could get past, it was more so that people thought joe was a straight fraud because he had fought nobody (at that point he hadnt and he was also known for pulling out of fights). They were wrong obviously but that doesnt mean true boxing fans thought lacy was the next great fighter.

exactly. Most people at the time thought calzaghe was your typical protected european bum. The believers and the people who followed joe's career they knew he could beat lacy but that was a minority of people. *****, even in the UK at the time Calzghe wasn't all that big.
