Growing up, I always complained that the newspapers didn't cover boxing enough. Now that I'm an adult, I'm in a position to change that

This is my first article for the Jersey Journal, which is the newspaper for my hometown of Jersey City, NJ. It made the back page, which is the front page of the sports section. In it, I profile a 3-0 prospect from Union City named Juan Rodriguez Jr., who is fighting his first fight in his hometown.

What I love about this arrangement is that I'm giving front page exposure to a very talented fighter who otherwise wouldn't have gotten the recognition from his community that he deserves.

Well done mate, My granddad used to be the Sports editor for the News of The World, Manchester Evening news and another local paper in Manchester. I have got loads of boxing programs with all his writes ups in from the sixties, its pretty cool looking back at the articles he wrote.
