While I do agree with some of your points, you must remember this:
How did Mosley become P4P #3 and lineal Champ?
He beat Margo in January 2009.
I repeat, this was due to what he did to Margo AND his rankings and title was due to a fight that was back in January 2009. Oh, ya, against that cheat ..... you know, the guy that Floyd fans are now discrediting (Margo vs Manny) and they are saying Margo can't do anything without them bricks. Just like in the Mosley fight.
The above statement that you made was NOT a real indication of Mosley in 2010 until he fights someone in 2010. Especially being that he had such a long layoff. It's like saying that Dawson is still a top 5 P4P.
Plus, once you hit a certain age, months can be like years. So you need to get "reevaluated" more often to see what you have left in you.
One thing that I would agree is since the Manny vs Floyd fight was a no go, Mosley was still the guy Floyd should have faced, no matter what we think of this 2010 version of Mosley .Last edited by ADP02; 10-13-2010, 11:32 PM.Comment

bricks or not margo aint **** and the reason the margo was a big win for shane is because at that point in time everyone was makin him out to be some super unbeatable fighter but a real boxing fan knew he was still a bum but apparently what the casual believe is what seems to make the difference and for some reason a fighter that was gettin outboxed for most of a fight that he eventually won was looked at as unbeatable.
as far as mosleys layoff it maybe would of not been so long if manny or cotto would of fought him but apparently freddie roach wanted to fight cotto because it was the easier fightComment

I'm no Margo fan but I wouldn't have called him a bum. Guys like Cotto lost to Margo. Even Shane gave him A LOT of respect. Shane fought him perfectly and had the power to get that respect from Margo. Shane tied Margo up when he felt vulnerable. If not, he kept his distance from Margo until he was ready to throw his bombs.
The other story that you mentioned, was in 2009 not 2010 like Floyd vs Mosley, and it was already stated that Mosley had NO CHANCE in fighting Manny and Roach knew it. Cotto is an Arum guy, so Roach knew it was going to be Cotto vs Manny. Roach knew he had the leverage and told Mosley in the most polite way that even if he twisted into a pretzel, it isn't going to happen.Last edited by ADP02; 10-13-2010, 11:56 PM.Comment

cotto was outboxin margarito through out the fight but cotto let margarito's pressure get to him so to me that says more about cotto not bein as great as some made him oput to be than margarito bein great and if you are an unskilled boxer that relies on pressure and your ability to take a punch than you are nothing more than a mediocre fighter and shane gave margo credit but beat the **** out of him.
in this video freddie says he didn't wanna fight shane because he wanted shane to fight at 142 and shane couldn't make that weight
