    Could Lacy Fight Heavyweights?

Do you think Jeff Lacy could possibly move up in weight to like 190-200 and fight guys like Vitali, Ruiz, Rahman and Byrd?

i would quickly say its too early in his career for something like that, but he already laid out his desired plans of taking the super middleweight division, then taking light-heavy. (Didn't say it would neccessarily happen, just said thats his 'plan')

no cos he relies on his power, his aggressiveness.

that does not help with naturally bigger guys

(roy jones and james toney are not born everyday)

He takes too many shots right now to have a chance against the bigger punchers in the division. When his opponent confuses him his strategy is to go in like a bulldozer and take whatever punishment that that will entail. He's fine with that for now at 168 but it could cause him trouble if he moves up. Of course the argument gets muddied a bit when you consider the current state of the heavyweight division. Hell, even Floyd might have a shot at winning a crown up there (j/k by the way, before I catch any heat).

...If you sit and think about it that's exactly what happened to Jirov. He is a guy who is willing to take a shot to give a shot and has suspect defense. It worked until he got to the heavies.

                Exactamundo.

Smaller guys beat bigger guys by bringing the speed & skills they are not used to, & cannot handle.

Lacy is not particularly fast. He overpowers his 168lb foes.
He's the worst kind of guy to fight heavies, actually.

Isn't another part of his plan to clean out the Middleweight division too?

WAY too early to think about that one. Light Heavyweight? Yes. Heavyweight? Slow ya roll.
