Floyd is 2 years older then Manny so he would be more prone of slowing down, some people are saying they dont think hes in his prime right now and showing small signs of slipping (whether thats the case or not is a different story).

But in relation to Mayweather only fighting once a year, though he hasn't taken a lot of punishment through his career, that doesn't mean age at some point won't play a factor when dealing with instincts and speed (which can leave you if you do become as inactive as Floyd has recently become). He's obviously not a shot fighter by any means, but I don't think he's as explosive or as fast as he used to be both on his feet and his punching. He's still a great counter puncher, but he's really left his combo punching behind for quite some time now. Whether that's because he chooses to fight that way now or he can now "only" fight that way is the question.

Two years in age difference doesn't mean Floyd would start slowing down faster than Pac. He could be living a healthier life style, and with his fighting style, take much less damage. But I honestly don't think either would have the age advantage over the other.

Well not fighting as much just means he will be more rusty more often and just be a part time fighter, so that means jack **** too. If he goes ages without fighting, hes gonna get rustier and rustier and slip more and more because he isn't keeping sharp.

pac's style, however, is based on reaction and speed. once pac loses even a little speed, he'll be in trouble. there's a huge drop off.

therefore, it's to wifebeater's advantage to wait until pac slows down, AND OBVIOUSLY if that is the wifebeater gameplan (wifebeater don't fight no one he knows he can't beat. wifebeater straight up ducked a prime margarito and justified the duckage and his cowardice by saying he knew margarito was using plaster before he even got caught using.)

Of course, but if Floyd is getting older... without fighting as much obviously hes gonna peak a little, especially if he relies on reflexes a lot, things that apparently slow down as you get older.

People have said that Floyd is peaking now, and that he isn't as much in his prime anymore (whether the case or not is another story), waiting and fighting less will only run against him because he will be more rusty and not sharp throughout the year.
