Tyson is nothing more then a Zab Judah crazy talent but lost because of his head. He beat nothing but good and bum fighters. Just cause you got crazy talent it doesn't mean your a great fighter
Tyson was mediocre....

The whole problem is these guys look at Tyson's career as a whole to define how good he really was. Yes, his career wasn't all that great, but he was a hell of a fighter when he was hungry, thats the bottom line. After the Spinks fight he fired everyone and started going down hill after that. Everything in his life changed and the death of Jim Jacobs was the straw that broke the camels back. There's no telling how great he could have became if he had stayed on track. All we can do now is apreciate what he gave us until 1988 and laugh at the idiots that use examples of his losses after that point to downplay how great he really was. But, Mike did this to himself and there's nothing we can do about it. In his prime, I believe only Ali could have beaten him.Comment

People tend to pick on Tyson, but give him credit. He only lost one fight in his career. Against Buster Douglas. Dont try correct me by saying Evander beat him, and LL beat him. No they didnt.
When he was at his peak people feared him and were in awe of what he did to his opponents. Judge him by that.Comment

Fair enough. But IMO Tyson was a great fighter for 4-5 rounds, while Frazier was for all 15. And you had to be a true 15 round fighter to beat Ali.Joe Frazier beat Ali after he had 2 fights within a few months got 18 rounds in, even in the second fight when Ali won he still struggled against Frazier.
Tyson throws more punches, not mention the different variation of those punches, more explosive & has a better defence, IMO Tyson would have beat him.Comment

How did Tyson fight bums when he cleaned out his division dominantly and within just a few years?
it wasnt the best division ever, nah, but not the worst either.
the problem with his era was not lack of talent, because there were some pretty impressive guys around...but they never reached their full potential because of conditioning and drugs and other crappy thingsComment
