ignore margarito and fight judah and baldomir. are judah and baldomir as good as margarito? no, not even close.

ignore cotto and fight hatton then fake retire. is hatton as good as cotto? no, not even close.

ignore pac and fight marquez and mosley then fake retire. are marquez and mosley as good as pac? no, not even close.

there's always an excuse about oh he made more money fighting this guy but that argument has more holes in it than swiss cheese when he turns down the biggest money fights of his career against cotto and pac. he doesn't fight for the most money! he fights whoever is easiest and can make him the most money in the process of winning.
how well known was margs when ppl say floyd should have fought him?? if i rememeber correctly, he was just coming off a loss to paul williams.(i may be wrong). but there was no one out there calling for that fight, not a soul. no one was saying why doesnt floyd fight margarito instead of baldomir. like i said hindsight is 20/20. just because margs went on to have some good fights doesnt mean ppl knew who he was at the time. because he wasnt that big of a deal.

no, in other words, i'm glad Shane isnt as big a draw as Cotto and that Roach was polite enough to save Shane a career ending beating

this was before he lost to paul williams and lots of people were calling for him to fight "the most feared man in boxing" at the time. people certainly knew margarito a lot more than journeyman baldomir who popped out of nowhere. margarito had been a top welterweight for over 5 years already and all the top guys like mayorga, judah, and spinks refused to fight him cause he was too dangerous. floyd followed suit. it isn't hindsight. it's called reality. the reality is everyone knew margarito was a beast but the top guys pretended like he didn't exist.

check the ring rankings where he was. no one was ranked that highly over an 8 year span. baldomir lol where da fook was he. he was lineal champ then he was gone in a blink of an eye.

ur rite it was b4 the p will. fight but it was after him going life and death with joshua clottey. margs may have been a top welter but no1 considered him the best. judah was considered the best at the time until he lost to baldomir. after that ppl were attacking floyd for not fighting baldomir, margs wasnt on the radar. if he was, point me to an article from the time that mention margo as being the top legitamate 147lber. ive had this argument before and yet no1 ever offers proof. thats because its all hindsight to u guys.

actually pac started countering his jab in the 2nd round and started beating him up in that round. but according to you he just stopped using it for no reason.

hahahaha Roach said it himself that Shane refused to drain himself below 145 that is why the fight was never made. Why drain the **** out of an 107 yr old guy if he's not a threat?
