Cristobal Arreola returns Jan 7/2011 on ESPN2

Heavyweight Chris Arreola will be on the Jan 7 opener of the 2011 season of ESPN Friday Night Fights. His opponent has not yet been decided.

He injured both hands in August during a fight with Manuel Quezada, but he's been recovering and has now reportedly resumed training.

It's good to see Arreola remaining active.

He was a bore to watch in his last fight. Povetkin should fight him after this fight, and then take on the Klits.

Arreola is never in a boring fight.

Last time out, even with a broken hand, he still managed to floor Quezada a couple of times.

Tony Thompson or Eddie Chambers would be good opponents for Arreola.

Thompson has called him out in the past.

His last fight ******. He has no technique, and it's just not pleasing to watch IMO.

He does have some technical skills, learned during his extensive amateur career.

****sexuals probably don't find Arreola pleasing to watch, because he's not pretty.

yes this is a good thing.still get upset when people hack on his last fight.he threw the 3rd most punches ever in a heavyweight fight with 2 injured hands & still scored 3 knockdowns of the durable quezada.good to see him back.he may even have a decent opponent to fight on FNF...he hasnt been off that long & i hope he hasnt got too fat but he'll come in around 250 im sure.i can see jason gavern or nicholai firtha as a possible opponent.either of those 2 is a solid comeback fight.

thompson or chambers would be great but i have a feeling it may be a step below that so he can test out the hands.
