Juan M. Marquez is one of my favorite fighters.

I always over looked him just because I didn't always root for him, but he is a wonderful action fighter, though a counter fighter. He comes to fight and his technique is smooth, love the combos. Sweet uppercuts too.

    He also has underrated power.

    Whats your thoughts?

Juan Manuel Marquez is in my opinion the last great Mexican boxer around today...great counter puncher, very smart, timing is good, beautiful combos. How can anyone not like this man, he fights his heart out everytime...nothing but respect for Marquez, even though he beat The Baby Bull in our hometown while I was on the first row...I cheered my lungs out for him and so did everyone there, I can't remember hearing a single boo for him! Waaaar Marquezzzzz!!

Juan M Marquez is a superb technician in the ring and a master craftsman.
Marquez is also a fearless fighter that fights almost anyone.

The only thing that's bothersome of Marquez is that he's been avoiding Humberto Soto, and has avoided him for more than 2 years.

Even TV AZTECA has realized this, that they have named Soto as the best 135lber on the planet, and superior to Marquez.

But Marquez is not the only one that has avoided Soto.
Pacman, Barrera, Morales, Linares, Guerrero, Anthony Peterson, ediwn Valero (when he was alive), and many others have all ducked Soto.
