Benitez is blind in one eye, cant control his bowels, & cant remember his former identity as a boxing legend.

WOW this is to much truth for many on this site to handle, they'd rather be internet warriors and pretend that these guys risk there lives getting in the ring. I totally forgot that Benitez was in this condition.

According to the article, Benitez receives $14,000 per year from the government plus $250/month from boxing.

Given that the average household income in Puerto Rico is $26,000/year and the average size of each household is 3.6, this $14k is good money.

I'm not saying that his family is treating him as a cash cow now. But he certainly was his father Gregorio's cash cow when he was still fighting.

Keep in mind this guy went 15 rounds with HEARNS. 15 rounds with DURAN, and almost the whole 15 with LEONARD. At their primes. And went 1-2.

Its amazing how so many technical and skilled defensive fighters end up slurring the words too. You would think they would be the last to end up like that.
