Am I the only one who doesnt see anything special James Kirkland?

I just cant get down with the hype train. One of my friends say they like Kirkland because he's Tyson esque in his aggressive style and attitude.

So is that what it is? Do people think hes like the second coming of Tyson?

Because I dont see that at all. I dont see anything special about him.

I dont think he can beat Martinez, Williams, Lara, Dzizniruk or Cotto.

If he can't steamroll his opponent, he's finished. I think he's a KO waiting to happen.

If seen Kirkland spar and train many times here in austin. And well probably watch him spar for his upcoming fight. Kirkland is vicious and entertaining. But from watching him over the years he has many habits that smarter fighters well pick up on and he will eventually be knocked out or tko'd.

Everyone loves an explosive puncher, but I don't see the hype either.

cant lie and say he's NOT entertaining as hell to watch though.

People like him because he looks tough and is aggressive and gets KO's. I don't think he could beat a skilled boxer because he is an up close fighter. He is exciting just as Pavlik is when the guy is there to be hit but if he fights a boxer, he is getting jabbed up all night.

Last time the US had the second coming of Tyson, he was knocked around the ring for 12 rounds by Calzaghe.

Kirkland is most definitely a beatable man, but he has an entertaining style, so i'm happy watching him. Is he a Lacy waiting to happen? Who knows. For now, i'll just enjoy him working his way to the top.

This thread isnt about how exciting he is.

Heck Alfonso Gomez can be exciting. Im talking about what do people in see in him that makes people think hes a good fighter and the big threat.

Jeff Lacy is an interesting comparison.
