One key ingredient in the phenomenal success of Manny Pacquiao that I think often goes unnoticed is the proper division of labor. [Click Here To Read More]

Michael Marley is a truly terrible writer, please stop posting his 'articles'.

He actually makes Ronnie Nathanielsz look competent.

Firstly, the last I heard Chavez Jr is not going to the Phillipines, therefore is not sparring with Pac. Secondly, Kahn just arrived there and has not sparred with Pac yet... and by Kahn's own admission would not be sparring much, if at all, with Manny because of styles and the fact that Pac is a southpaw (meaning that it does not benifit HIM, Kahn). Kahn's primary reason for being in the Phillipines is for his own training for his fight in Dec., because his trainer and conditioning coach are there - not to prepare Manny for his fight.

If Marley wanted to write about Ali, he should have just done so. As far as trying to tie it in with Pac, it's inaccurate at best.

okay, so if margarito is soo slow, if pacman is going to beat him soo easily, (the guy isnt even a top guy at 154lbs), if margs sux soo bad, then why is pac fighting him? why not fight a legit challenge , like angulo, williams or martinez?? those guys would be delighted in fighting pac.I honestley dont see the greatness roach and marley and boxing scene and everyone else constantly point out. great fighters fight other great fighters, not old, shot or previous greats on declines or losing streaks or dudes coming off career ending ko's. pac still hasnt fought anyone great since jmm. still fokkin waiting for him to step up to a good fight. muhammed ali ACTUALLY FACED the BEST. even late in his career, nobody can really knock fraud jr, and at the same time praise manny they are the same. they never fight guys that can beat them its a waste of 50bux, its not even a fight, how that constitutes greatness nowadays I dont know................

Well, I'm sure what most people would comment on is the inherent bias in this piece. Good journalism is unbiased, or at least as unbiased as possible, otherwise it is simply propaganda.

This is what the article is, a propaganda piece for Pacquiao, it's about generating attention and pre-fight hype. Whether it works as a propaganda piece depends on how many people buy into it; that I don't know.

If you were to view it as a piece of journalism - which you can't - I don't think Ali works as a comparison for Pacquiao, I get what he is trying to do in terms of sparring partners etc but it just doesn't work, it's forced.

the wbc has margarito the top ranked opponant for the wbc belt. i dont know how margarito got/earned that ranking, but if margarito is the top ranked opponant as ranked by the wbc, i dont have a problem.

you might see propoganda, i dont. i just see a writer trying to do his job and nothing else. this article didnt generate any attention of pre-fight hype...it just gave me information/update to whats going on in pacquiaos camp, nothing else.

people are over reacting to these articles (biased, manlove for pac, propoganda, dont know how to write, etc...) why cant people just read without over reacting, over reading, and exagerating the articles?

                    fixed fight

Wonder who's pac next opponent. Or, is he fighting all by himself? JUst like I said, this is a fixed fight and they all write only about paquiao so that the fans see it normally once pacquiao beats margarito. Let's not fall for that and not buy this crappy fixed fight. FIXED FIGHT nitramzaid@hotmail.com
